Contributions and Donations

We love hearing from you, our readers. Articles, poetry, book 
reviews, and letters to the editor in response to previous articles, etc. — all are welcome and will make The Sound Journal a more clear reflection of the entire Sufi community. Submissions are, however, subject to 
the editor’s discretion, and may be edited for length and clarity. Please send submissions to soundeditor@suficircle.org.

The Sound Journal staff, all volunteers, are constantly trying to upgrade and improve this newsletter, so it can better serve all Sufi orders and mureeds in the West. We rely on donations and advertising to fund our annual operating costs. Donations are tax deductible if made payable to “Golden Gate Sufi Circle,” earmarked for The Sound Journal. To pay by credit card, visit PayPal.com, click on “send money,” and direct your payment to TheSound@SufiCircle.org.

The Sound Journal no longer holds community events listings since there are several excellent online sources to find them:

• Peaceworks’ North American Dance Network Website — Find dances and events near you, wherever you are.
• Sufipaths website — Find Bay Area (California) events, dances, and camps.
• Pir Shabda Kahn’s Schedule — Find events and workshops led or attended by Pir Shabda Kahn

Advertising

The Sound Journal provides a page for ads and links to .pdf flyers to help connect community members. Ads can be submitted in two ways:

• A .pdf file of any size. We will post your .pdf on our server and include a link to it on our Events and Sponsors page. The link will include the name, location, and the date of your event.  $25
• Visible, on-page ads, placed directly on the Events and Sponsors page itself.
  Vertical ad: $30 for a smaller, vertical ad (250px x 350px). Linking to .pdf, ad $25.
  Horizontal ad: $45 for a larger, horizontal ad (600px x 350px). Linking to your .pdf, ad $25.
  The ad must come to us as a .jpg in the size specified.

If you need help creating your ad, Jelehla Ziemba of Word/Art Editing and Graphic Design is available to lay out most simple ads for an additional $30.
