A hearty welcome to the Sound Journal in its new incarnation! I’m pleased and honored to have work in this inaugural edition, and am looking forward to reading all the rest. How lovely to have the original Spanish of San Juan de la Cruz’ poem, as well as its contemporary English “version” – lovely language in both versions, and a wonderful illustration of how rich our dialog with other voices, from limitless times and places, can be. Thanks, and congratulations!
